EXP is the opportunity engine. We partner with high schools, industry, and the community to prepare students for success in college and careers. Our collaborative efforts with schools in Long Beach and across Southern California have provided students with invaluable opportunities to explore diverse career paths. These include career discovery events, paid internships, job shadowing, mentorship, and comprehensive career-readiness workshops like resume building, mock interviews, and financial literacy.

Preparing Students for Success

Our innovative programs provide more than 8,000 youth in Long Beach and across Southern California with opportunities to help them pursue their future career aspirations and reach their personal potential.

Our partnership in Long Beach, which began in 2012, continues to deepen as we moved our office to Long Beach earlier this year. We are excited to start working with Sato Academy of Math and Science this fall. EXP will provide our innovative programs, which include career-readiness workshops, guest speaker series, project mentors, and signature events like the upcoming GPS Your Future®.

“We are honored to be part of the EXP family, and are super excited about elevating our student experience through this partnership,” said Ronnie Coleman, Sato Principal.

We look forward to working with Sato Dragons and to serving more Long Beach schools in the future.

Celebrating 25 Years of Opportunity

Since our inception in 1999, EXP has been a beacon of hope for high school students, preparing them for success in college and careers. We have grown from serving just one school in Wilmington to more than 15 schools across Southern California.

“We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to explore their passions and potential career paths,” says Mary Tran, CEO of EXP. “As we make our Long Beach our new home, we are excited to work hand in hand with local schools and businesses to unlock doors of opportunity for the youth, empowering them to shape their futures.” By preparing the next-generation workforce, EXP helps the Long Beach community and industries to continue to thrive.
