You can help the Art Theatre get a new projector! We are celebrating our 100th anniversary in 2024, and although our projector isn't QUITE that old, the manufacturer has notified us it will no longer service or provide parts for our creaky early-2000's model.
Your generous support will help us kick off another 100 years of great cinema--and this century will have crystal-clear digital 4K images!
The Art remains the last single-screen independent theatre in the city of Long Beach, and exhibits classic, documentary, and festival films, as well as current first-run movies. The Art also supports community events like screenings by local and student filmmakers, book signings, the Cambodia Town Film Festival and the Q Film Festival, and makes a substantial contribution to local Long Beach schools by providing field trips and theatre education at no charge to the schools.

The Art Theatre Long Beach is dedicated to presenting films of historical, cultural, and artistic significance, and providing educational opportunities in our community on the art of cinema through discussion groups, festivals, workshops, and seminars.
