Success in Challenges was Founded in Long Beach in 2001 by Rev. O. Leon Wood, Jr. and has served as a non-profit grass-roots social service agency since. Most of those we serve are BIPOC (Black, Indigenous People of Color) from low-income families that are dealing with life obstacles such as: the foster care system, incarceration, inadequate housing, lack of access to technology, employment, health insurance and basic needs. Success in Challenges serves as a voice and advocate for these families by connecting them to information and resources.
