Impact Makers: Skills for Life, Service for Change

Every young person has the potential to become a leader. But leadership doesn't happen overnight; it grows through experience, encouragement, service, and opportunities to discover what they're capable of. 

Impact Makers invests in teens in Long Beach, Harbor, and the South Bay by giving them tools, experiences, and support they need to grow into confident, compassionate leaders who are ready to make a difference in their communities. 

Over 12 weeks (or 8 weeks in the summer), teens explore who they are and grow in their identity through guided teachings by facilitators and mental health professionals, discover the needs of the city by learning about systemic challenges unique to Long Beach, and put their learning into action through hands-on-service.

Each week, participants spend 2.5 hours learning and growing together, followed by 2-3 hours serving at local community sites. Through these experiences, teens gain more than volunteer hours: they gain confidence, purpose, connection, and skills that can shape their future.
