More than 5 million children are currently living with a parent or guardian diagnosed with cancer. That's one in 15 children or one child in every classroom across America.

Walk with Sally was founded on the belief that no child impacted by cancer should walk alone. After 20 years of proudly serving our community we know that the best way to support a child is to wrap our program and services around the entire family. Our approach to care is unique. We assess the needs of each child and we work tirelessly to provide curated care to restore what cancer has ruthlessly stolen. For some children that looks like consistent mentorship with an adult who has experienced a similar cancer story, ongoing licensed mental health support along with regular community events involving animal therapy, art therapy or ocean therapy. For some families where the single parent is too ill to work or they are living below the poverty line because of cancer, we ensure that those children have healthy meals, clothing and essential needs delivered right to their door.

Cancer doesn't care about weather, seasons or holidays. Cancer is relentless. The good news is, so is Walk With Sally. Join our family and show these children the power of a community united in humanity, service and the ability to rise to whatever challenges life provides. Be the light for a child in the darkness of cancer.

Testimonials

"I chose this program to help provide my son with the emotional support he needs to cope with his mother's disease but it has been so much more for us. Jen checks in with us, she has offered information about financial support. Max's mentor Will has been clear that his involvement with Max will be indefinite. Really, I am overwhelmed with the generosity of this program."
-The Hochman Family

"We have gotten through a lot of stressful and difficult things on our own. However, knowing that there's people out there that care about us is beyond comforting. It brings our entire family so much hope to know that we aren't alone in this nightmare."
-The Thrams Family

"My kids love their mentors and look forward to their time with them. They have been pushed aside because of all the time we give to Rosie Jane. They are able to have attention, time, and positive connections with their mentors. It’s been such a blessing to our family. First, thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into creating a magical experience for my kids and our family. I was in awe how you wanted to know us personally, our journey, and finding a way to connect with us. I wouldn’t ever choose this journey, especially for Rosie Jane. The one comfort is continually finding people and connecting with them as they support our family through this journey. Thank you for all the time, effort, creativity, sitting with our kids, interacting with them, hugging them, and loving them with their quirks and all. We are imperfect, flawed, and a little broken at times but you helped our family feel loved just as we are and you were exceptionally generous to our family. We are grateful but more importantly, thank you for sharing yourself and your light. It is that light that keeps us all going and makes harder days pass easier."

Mission

Walk With Sally lessens the burden of cancer for children and families through mentorship, mental health support, art healing and financial empowerment.

We believe in a world where cancer doesn't define a family or dictate the trajectory of a child's life.
