International City Theatre

Recognized as the resident professional theatre for Long Beach, International City Theatre (ICT), annually reaches about 30,000 children, families, adults, and seniors through our five professional, award-winning mainstage productions and six vital education programs. Our goal is to produce works that entertain and challenge the audience while sometimes highlighting societal issues and concerns as diverse as the faces of our community to help us better understand ourselves and the world in which we live. Programs provide aid to those culturally underserved due to lack of access or affordable artistic programming.
ICT is an award-winning company with more than 425 professional awards including the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Circle Award for Sustained Excellence and, out of hundreds of theatres, the Los Angeles Drama Critic's Award for Outstanding Season in 2015. And named BEST LARGER THEATER by Stage Scene LA. ICT is also fiscally responsible, running in the black for 31 of 35 years (9/11 and the recession created challenges).

ICT is committed to:

  • Contributing to the preservation and development of theatre as an art form.
  • Participating in creative leadership to solve problems and address issues in our field.
  • Presenting the highest quality productions and education programs possible to reach our diverse community, including underserved and disadvantaged children, youth, families and seniors.
