Our Generation Cares (OGC) is a vibrant, youth-led movement dedicated to empowering underserved youth, including transition-aged and foster care youth. We believe in the transformative power of inspiration, passion, and purpose. Our mission is to inspire and empower youth by fostering passion, nurturing purposeful pathways, and driving economic resilience and social change. At OGC, we challenge the status quo of care, embodying 'Care Different' as our guiding ethos.

Our Programs

At the heart of Our Generation Cares is our dedication to nurturing the spiritual and mental well-being of our community, guiding them on a transformative journey of discovery and purpose. Through comprehensive apprenticeship programs, we equip youth with vital life skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. Our initiatives include:

• Mentorship Programs: Matching youth with experienced professionals who provide unwavering support and inspiration, helping them navigate life and work challenges.
• Life Skills Training: Equipping young people with essential skills such as car and driver education, financial management, confidence + charisma, and public relations.
• Youth Employment Opportunities: Providing unique employment opportunities that develop occupational skills and entrepreneurial mindsets.
• Apprenticeship Programs: We cultivate an ecosystem where employers and educators collaborate to design effective programs tailored to recruit, place, and support young apprentices.

Who We Are

Our Generation Cares (OGC) exists to inspire and empower youth, driving them to create themselves and find strength beyond their comfort zones. As a vibrant, youth-led organization, we spearhead project-based learning initiatives, including the planning, design, and development of restaurants, coffee shops, and a coworking center—all fueled by the enthusiasm and creativity of youth and young professionals. By actively involving teens in focus groups and decision-making processes, we empower them to take ownership of their projects, fostering a sense of pride and citizenship. We believe in the power of intergenerational wisdom, inspiring passion, and discovering opportunities in pivoting challenges.
