At The Guidance Center, our power of purpose is to place children and families at the forefront. Although we cannot reach every child in need, we fight for a brighter tomorrow. A tomorrow filled with hope, healing, and positive change. 

That is why we are excited to announce that our new Family Resource Center (FRC) will open this fall at our Long Beach headquarters! 

All funds raised through Long Beach Gives 2025 will help support the programs of the FRC. As our dream of a Family Resource Center comes to fruition, we need your help to support these vital programs and services. Every gift has an impact. Over the years, we have witnessed the ever-growing need to bridge the gap between wellness and specialty mental health services. To best meet the needs of those within our communities, we sought to expand our range of services.

How your gift will make a direct impact:

💛 $50 will help provide nutrition workshops for families.

💛 $100 will support vital emergency funds for immediate needs such as hotel stays and grocery gift cards.

💛 $500 will allow our FRC to provide family dinner nights and food assistance for families in need.

💛 $1,000 will fund a computer lab for individuals that visit our FRC to access resources to enhance their lives.

OUR IMPACT

For nearly 80 years, The Guidance Center has worked relentlessly to break barriers to vital mental health services to underserved and under-resourced children and families in need. We provide a wide variety of programs and services at our headquarters in Long Beach and our two smaller clinics in Compton and San Pedro. 

Our exceptional team of over 180 mental health professionals, support staff, interns, and administrators serve nearly 3,000 disadvantaged children and families each year.
