The Pearl Foundation: Be a Blessing to Someone
$3,080 Raised
The Pearl Foundation, Inc. (The PF) support programs that benefit community service programs and scholarship programs in Long Beach, Carson, Compton and surrounding areas. Here are a few examples of the programs that impact our communities:
The Pearl Scholars Program - In addition to awarding college scholarships to students from underserved communities, The Pearl Foundation offers a support program to help its recipients navigate through their first year of college.
CHIPP - (Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack) Childhood hunger is real! The Pearl Foundation provides monthly weekend meals to low income and homeless pre-school children at Precious Lamb Preschool in Long Beach. We make sure the students have a bag full of healthy meal choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the weekend. The Pearl Foundation collaborates with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.Ā®, Theta Alpha Omega Chapter, to administer this program.
OTHER PROGRAMS - The Pearl Foundation supports several community programs that aim to enhance or improve the lives of families who are in need or that reside in underserved areas. This includes programs that improve the environment, programs that encourage economic wealth, programs that provide financial assistance and more.
The PF also champions programs that educate women and bring awareness to health issues that affect women, like maternal health; and awareness to non-partisan social issues that impact the communities we serve, such as voter education.
Through increased collaborations with other organizations and increased donor support, The Pearl Foundation continues to expand its commmunity outreach. The Foundation collaborates with Leadership Long Beach, NAACP, Long Beach Health and Human Services Center for Families and the Long Beach Family Preservation Program to provide programs that promote health, economic security and education in multigenerational and multicultural communities in the Long Beach area.
The Pearl Foundation, Inc. has ambitious goals. We know that we cannot meet these goals with your help. Please consider giving! We appreciate you more than we can express.
Thank you!
