My work is helping parents and caregivers learn how to advocate for their students, families and school communities. Teach a parent to advocate for their child and that child has an advocate for life.

Are you ready to help us make Long Beach a city where everyone is safe and healthy? It takes teamwork, creativity, and a splash of courage to create social change! 

Contestants, listen up: Organizing for racial, economic, and social justice is no small feat—it’s a community-powered challenge! With your help, we’ve built an unstoppable movement, ensuring that race and income don’t limit anyone’s future in Long Beach.

Here’s how we’ve come together to win a safe and healthy Long beach for all:

🏆 Training Leaders: Equipping youth and adults with the tools they need to organize their neighborhoods, push for policy change, and serve on citywide Boards and Commissions!

🏆 Advocating for Equity: Organizing low-income BIPOC communities for equitable rules and laws on street vending, housing, tenant protections, and local democracy!

🏆 Educating and Empowering: Teaching community members urban planning to help shape city zoning in North Long Beach, along Anaheim Street, and in the Downtown!

🏆 Supporting Families: Coordinating parent education and empowerment workshops for over 150 families navigating special education in LBUSD and new fathers of infant children!

🏆 Grassroots Support: Providing equipment, meeting spaces, and interpretation for community groups working towards social change!
