A community wellness center focuses on the health and well-being of individuals living in the community. It is a place where people can explore and learn ways to improve their health and wellbeing. There could be classes on multiple subjects. Examples are relaxation techniques, ways to improve life, how to maintain a home, peer groups (e.g. parents, teens, homework tutoring, computer work, access to computers, employment preparation) Health subjects are of particular interest: Mental health, reducing the risk of strokes, heart attacks.
