Food Security for Struggling Families

I volunteered with this organization for 3 years when I lived in Long Beach and still strongly support their mission even though I've moved away. During the Covid pandemic, LBCT was able to provide recovered food, healthy produce and hygiene supplies to thousands of people every week who had nowhere else to turn...a critical need that continues to grow at a time of soaring rents, inflated grocery prices and rising medical costs. In fact, since the eviction moratorium ended, housing security has risen by 28% in southern California, putting even more people out on the street. 

Food and housing insecurity leads to desperation, which in turn increases crime, domestic violence, disease, pollution, interrupted schooling and other conditions. LBCT is now serving more than 5500 people a week through its four main programs. A gift of any amount will help sustain their important work. Please donate if you can. Thank you!
