Friends of Rec Park Bandshell (FORPBS) has a mission to bring back live performance to "The Shell" at Rec Park! Built in 1929, The Shell is an historic landmark and Long Beach's premier outdoor amphitheater. Most of the money that FORPBS raises is used for paying for local Long Beach artists to perform at free, open to the public concerts. FORPBS is also hoping to raise funds to rejuvenate and restore this treasured Long Beach landmark.
