Christine's Fundraiser for Khmer Girls In Action

Hi! I'm less than $1000 away from raising $3000 for Khmer Girls in Action this year. 

Will you help me meet my goal during Long Beach Gives?

I am one of their capital campaign champions as they fundraise to build out a political home for young people and youth organizing in Long Beach. 

KGA is a community-based organization with a mission to build a progressive and sustainable Long Beach community that works for gender, racial, and economic justice led by Southeast Asian young women. 

Khmer Girls in Action has been a powerful force for supporting organizing for social justice across the city and beyond for many years.

I've worked with them since the campaign to support living wages for hotel workers in 2012. They're a major part of multiracial and multi-issue organizing in Long Beach and create empowering spaces for young people to learn, to grow, to get involved in their community ... and to simply be themselves.

Young people need more of this. Our society as a whole needs more of this.

That's why I'm so excited that they have acquired a building to create an political home for young people and organizers across Long Beach.
